The Standing Committee is responsible for overseeing Presbytery operations and making sure Presbytery is working towards achieving its purposes as defined by the UCA Basis of Union, Constitution, Regulations and its Mission Plan in a manner that meets Presbytery’s theological, ethical, legal and financial obligations.
The PRC provides training, education, oversight, discipline and pastoral care for Ministers and Congregations of the Presbytery.
The Ministry Committee is a sub-committee of the Pastoral Relations Committee. The Ministry Committee shall take such part in the selection, pastoral care and oversight of candidates for the specified ministries of the Church as is required by the Synod and/or Assembly and as has been delegated by the Pastoral Relations Committee.
The Business Committee supports the Treasurer and advises the Standing Committee in managing the business (including finance, property and staffing) affairs of the Presbytery, consistent with the Presbytery’s Mission Plan and providing oversight of the business for all member congregations and faith communities.
A core responsibility of the Presbytery is to oversight and strengthen the life and witness of the congregations within its bounds. Exercise of these responsibilities is critical to the ongoing health and vitality of congregations. When the Presbytery undertakes its role diligently and faithfully it also builds a strong working relationship between the whole Presbytery and the congregations in its care.
Young People’ refers to Children (and implicitly involves their families), Youth and Young Adults
The Sydney Central Coast Presbytery is committed to equipping young people to share, nurture and grow faith in ways that are tailored to them. The Presbytery Young Peoples Project is a vehicle for raising up leaders who are called to participate in and contribute to the engagement and discipleship of Young People.
